Information for patients
1. For people who come for implantation
- When arriving for an operation performed under general anesthesia, it is necessary to refrain from consuming food for six hours before the operation and fluids for four hours before the operation. It is also necessary to refrain from smoking and chewing gum.
- Do not take blood thinners (aspirin, marevan, etc.) for at least 10 days before the operation. Please consult your doctor in advance.
- You must not have a cold (runny nose, cough, fever) on the day of surgery; surgery is not recommended for acute inflammatory skin diseases and menstruation. If necessary, contact your doctor and ask them to continue the operation.
- We do not recommend driving or driving after two hours of surgery. You should only leave the hospital under the supervision of the person accompanying you. Please make sure in advance that a person close to you takes you home safely after the operation.
2. Protection of personal data Implanttihoito
Implanttihoito processes personal data in accordance with the Estonian Personal Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation.
1. We process the personal data of our patients and clients in accordance with the Medical Services Act, the Health Insurance Act and the Medicinal Act. We process personal data of job applicants and employees on the basis of the Employment Contracts Act. Human health data is a special type of personal data.
2. We collect personal data for certain purposes, which are primarily the provision of medical services to our patients and clients, and this data is not used for other purposes. If we intend to further process your personal data for purposes other than those for which they were originally collected, we will provide you with an appropriate notice of the purposes of further processing and we will not process them for purposes other than those for which you have given your consent.
3. We strictly limit the collection of personal information to the information necessary to provide medical care to our patients and clients. The purpose of collecting personal data of candidates and employees is to recruit the necessary staff and offer an employment contract with Implanttihoito.
4. In order to identify and correct incorrect (incorrect) personal information, we occasionally ask our patients, customers and employees to confirm the accuracy of personal information.
5. Duration of retention of personal data
- We keep dental treatment cards for patients and clients until the 110th anniversary of the patient's or client's date of birth.
- We will keep the CVs of jobseekers who have not been employed for one year from the date of the negative decision (based on the Equal Treatment Act),
- their personal details, however, until the end of the competition.
- Employment contracts with employees are maintained for up to 10 years from their termination.
- Letters and accounting documents sent to Implanttihoito are kept for 7 years.
6. Personal data is processed securely, protecting it against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage. We will only pass on personal data known to us to third parties in cases arising from the law.
7. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to our processing. If personal data becomes known to us in any other way, we will provide you with information on the processing of personal data within one month, unless:
- you already have this information,
- information is impossible to forward or requires inadequate amount of actions (for example for research and statistics),
the receipt or disclosure of personal data is required by law, or
- personal data is a subject to an obligation of confidentiality.
The notification we provide about the processing of your personal data, if the personal data has not been received from the person himself, the following information is kept:
- our data as processers of the information
- the details of our data protection officer
- the legal basis and purpose of the processing
- types of personal data
- information on legitimate interests
- recipients of personal data
- data retention period
- information about transferring it to a third country
- source of personal data
- automated solutions and specialized analysis
8. Customers, patients, job applicants and employees of Fertilitas AS have the following rights both during the collection of personal data and during non-collection of data:
- the right to request access to a person's own personal data;
- the right to request the correction of data;
- the right to request the erasure of data;
- the right to restrict/limit the processing of personal data;
- the right to object to the processing of personal data;
- the right to request the transfer of personal data;
- the right to not be the subject of a decision based on automated processing;
- the right to withdraw consent;
- the right to forward a complaint to the Data Protection Officer;
Implanttihoito is responsible for fulfilling the above conditions.
In matters related to the protection of personal data, complaints related to the processing of personal data can be addressed to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.
All patients data is stored securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, or GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation).
3. Complaints review procedure
A. General requirements
- Only non-anonymous complaints will be processed trough
- The reply will only be sent to the complainant, who was served by Implanttihoito
- In case of a complaint, the employee must invite the employee responsible for the respective unit
- All complaints and statements are kept by the administrator
- Complaints submitted in written form (electronically) will be answered within two weeks
B. Registration of complaints
- All complaints, statements and responses are registered and stored by the administrator
- In the case of an oral complaint, in addition to the complainant's personal (contact) details, a written statement of the content of the complaint and the response (prepared by the case officer). If requested, a written reply will also be provided.
C. Procedure for dealing with oral complaints
- A written statement on the oral complaint will be forwarded to the staff member preparing the reply. Depending on the content of the complaint, he will summon the responsible employee.
D. Procedure for dealing with written complaints (by e-mail)
- Depending on the content of the complaint, it will be forwarded to the reviewer, who will initiate an internal investigation or respond promptly, as appropriate.
- The case officer will organize a collection of explanations related to the complaint and a discussion of what happened.
- Following the discussion, a reply will be drawn up and sent by registered letter (or electronically) to the person who filed the complaint. The complainant may also be involved in the discussion (depending on the nature of the complaint).
- The responsible employee is obliged to inform the complainant about the possibility to turn to either the Ministry of Social Affairs or the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, depending on the content of the complaint.
E. All persons who have visited the hospital or clinic Fertilitas AS have the right to submit a complaint or feedback anonymously.
- We do not provide a formal response to anonymous complaints.
